Please use translations done by Yogis like Ram Mohun Roy, Virjanand Sarsavati, Dayanand Sarsavati, Arbindo Ghosh, Devendranath Tagore, Bal Gangadhar Tilak etc they were real scholars; and please avoid Pargiter, Wilson, Doniger, Piggott, Max Müller, Griffith, Keith etc who don’t understand anything but boast to know everything.

भाई आप बोल रहे हो कि अनुवाद में गड़बड़ है, पर अधिकांश श्लोको के अनुवाद सही है. कुछ श्लोक ऐसे है जिनका सही अनुवाद कोई भी विद्वान् आज तक सही नहीं कर पाया फिर इनका क्या दोष. आप अपने हिसाब से सही अनुवाद करके पढ़िए..भोजन परोसा जा रहा है फिर भी आप कमी निकाल रहे हो कि भोजन ज्यादा गर्म है…उक्त विद्वानों के अनुवाद भी कई जगह पूर्वाग्रह से ग्रसित है कभी रिसर्च करके देख लेना.
बिल्कुल सही कहा आपने | इतने पुराने विद्वानों द्वारा किये गये अनुवाद इन महाशय को गलत जान पड़ते हैं, ये Max Muller पढ़ने चले हैं |

Hi Soumil, ved refer to rhymes in praise of Surya, indra, yam, som, mitra, varun etc, so if you are more interested in historical aspect then only artharved can help you to some extent. Puran are written in simpler language and more historical in nature. Somras has much deeper meaning written in our tests & not only truthfulness. It is matter of availability. If you are living near any religious places like Vrindavan,
Kashi etc. You can get Vedas from there. Otherwise in Big cities you really have to search, as these days you will hardly find reader for it.
Above all it is in very high standard of Sanskrit. I hope you will be able to get the real
meaning out of shalokas.
